Introducing the brand new All Things IC app

Want to access articles about internal communication while on the go, travelling on public transport or to save them for later?

placeitNow there’s a new way to interact with the All Things IC blog, as today I’m launching a free app to help you make the most of the content on my site.

You can find and download it on the App Store.

With recent reports claiming we’ll spend an average of 2 hours and 26 minutes a day on smartphones and tablets in 2015, [eMarketer], I think having an app for my blog is an incredibly valuable tool.

It was created with internal communications agency Sequel Group, using their App:IC framework.

The All Things IC app allows you to bookmark your favourite articles to read later (even offline), easily share articles on social media and receive recent content on your phone within a few minutes of it being posted online – keeping you up-to-date with the latest news. (Tweet this)

All Things ICI like the fact you can use the bookmark function to save stories as this means you can then read them in full even when offline. This is ideal if you’re on public transport, which is certainly where I do lots of reading.

It includes various benefits and features to help you read about all things internal communication related including stories and news on a range of topics, upcoming events, book reviews, insights from me, guest bloggers, and much more.

How to access it
You can use the All Things IC app on iPhone and iPad, and I hope it’s a useful and creative addition to the internal communication sector.

You can download the app for iPhones and iPads free from the iTunes store: https://itunes.apple.com/app/allthingsic/id981942864 or you can scan the QR code provided.

I’ve been working on the app with the team at Sequel and love the work they’ve done with the look and feel of the All Things IC branding on the app, so it works alongside my blog.

I’m excited about being able to bring internal comms news to a wider audience and would love to know your feedback – do download it and please leave a review in the App Store.

About App:IC
AllthingsICappThe App:IC framework takes content from an existing news site (in this case the All Things IC blog feed) or intranet, and repurposes the content on a branded app.

It is an ideal method to take your internal communications to mobile – cost effective, easy and quick to use – content is pulled automatically from a site meaning no additional content input is required, and secure.

It can be used to create apps for all mobile devices –Windows, Android and iPhone.

Disclosure: the team at Sequel created The All Things IC app as a gift for me – and the wider comms community. Thank you to the team.

So please do download, explore and enjoy reading my articles in this way. As ever you’re welcome to comment below or Tweet me @AllthingsIC.

Are you using an App for your internal comms? If you have a story to share, please see my guest article guidelines and get in touch.
