Save money investing in your IC career

Attending events, conferences and courses is an investment not only in terms of budget, but time too.

Every week the Comms Calendar on the All Things IC blog is updated with the latest goings on in the world of comms to keep you aware of what’s happening.

Today I’ve got news of three events, and two include special discount codes for you, the lovely readers of my blog, to benefit from.

Can’t make any of these? Well here’s a Friday Freebie for you (is that a thing?!) – check out the How To page to discover articles to help you do your job.

They are packed full of advice based on my experience, and that of professional communicators in my network.

I publish What’s On This Week every Sunday – you can subscribe here to never miss a post, and don’t forget to download the free All Things IC app to access news on the move.

Public Sector Communication Awards and Conference

PSCAFirst up is an offer for people interested in the public sector.

I was a Judge for the UK Public Sector Communication Awards and will be attending its conference and awards on Thursday 9 July 2015.

The awards celebrate and reward excellent communication strategies and campaigns, teams and individuals in local and national government, emergency services and not-for-profit bodies from across the UK.

Well done to everyone on the shortlist. It was clear to see the hard work that had gone into the entries, and of course the campaigns.

The UK Public Sector Communications Conference aims to help you learn how to successfully do what you need to do, with less money.

It’s taking place at The Emirates Stadium, London, and conference, awards and combined tickets are available now, with discounts offered for multiple ticket bookings. The code to use is: PSCA10.

See the conference website for more info and this is the link you need to book your tickets.

Internal Communications Europe

PR WeekAll Things IC is a proud media partner of the inaugural Internal Communications Europe conference.

It is being organised by PR Week, Brand Republic and Campaign and is taking place on 30 June and 1 July 2015 at Movenpick City Centre, Amsterdam.

The event will provide IC pros with advice, practical solutions and new ideas to develop your internal communication strategies and cross-cultural employee engagement programmes.

If you would like to attend Internal Communications Europe, I have an offer to save you 10 per cent off the price of your ticket. The code to enter when booking your ticket/s is: ATIC2123.

See the Internal Communications Europe website for full information and to book your ticket.

You can follow discussions about the event via Twitter #ICEurope.

New intranet course

Want to learn more about online communication? There’s a course from ClearBox Consulting coming up in London that could help.

Tuesday 23 June looks at planning and designing an intranet, and Wednesday 24 June focuses on managing and enhancing your intranet. It’s being run by Sam Marshall, former Global intranet manager at Unilever.

See full information online and book your ticket/s here.

Thank you for stopping by, see my comms calendar for a complete round-up of events. Something missing? Tweet me @AllthingsIC or contact me.
