Today I’ve decided to try something new. With the rise of visual communication, I’m always keen to find new ways of sharing content and try to include as many images and infographics etc that I can find to accompany my blog posts.
Having mulled this over for a while, I decided to record the first episode of Internal Comms TV – it’s a working title at the moment, but I think it works.
So, on this page you can find a clip of me talking through what I’ve heard this week and what’s happening in the world of internal communication. The resources I refer to in the clip can be found below.
This is an experiment for me, I’m not an expert film maker – as you’ll see! But, from talking this idea through with various people in my network recently, including Neville Hobson, @jangles, I was encouraged to give it a go. So I have.
As ever, you’re welcome to let me know what you think, you can Tweet me @AllthingsIC or comment below. I’m going to teach myself editing skills so I can make it look better with titles etc, and think about sound, light and where to film, but I wanted to share it with readers now and see what you think as an idea. If you have any thoughts for future content I can include, do holler.
Further reading on the points I raise in the film:
- Surveys, Sentiment and Strategy Summit: My article, Slides, guest article by Billy Hamilton for my blog on the summit
- VMA Group Rising Stars awards: SimplyComm article and Rising Stars website – I’ll publish the full list of winners when I have them.
- Institute of Internal Communication 30 under 30: my article and their website
- CIPR Inside annual internal communication conference: my article and the website. Plus the measurement matrix
- Social Media in the Large Enterprise (SMILE) event website
- Comms2point0 white paper and 30 case studies
So here we go, the first episode of Internal Comms TV. Enjoy!
