We are seeking a creative and strategic candidate to fill the position of communications manager for a fixed term maternity cover contract within Disney Channels and Franchises, based in Hammersmith, London.
This key role will deliver communications for Disney Channels, allocated franchises and strategic initiatives in the UK. The successful candidate will manage day to day implementation of campaigns in the UK (and EMEA where applicable e.g. franchises) and priority press office activity.
They will be a key point of contact for Communications on projects, working with the Senior Managers across the PR team to build creative plans, generate digital conversations and deliver traditional coverage.
The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and have the creative ability to produce campaigns across different media.
Media and influencers – deliver publicity across a range of media including nationals, consumer, broadcast and digital.
PR Events & Campaign Delivery – oversee the day to day implementation of campaigns to support Disney initiatives utilising the team and agencies, encouraging creative and innovative approaches.
Team Management – ensure quality control of all media materials and effectively manage colleagues in the team on project delivery.
Relationship Management – develop relationships with and ensure the appropriate flow of information between different channels in the business.
Internal Communications – be the first port of call for information on allocated projects.
Ensure that the plans drive excitement internally and where possible have a commercial aspect. Work on delivery as a key member of the newly-formed Comms integrated teams – taking on a leading role where appropriate.
Help to prioritise and coordinate communications across the business on an ongoing basis by working closely with the Senior Managers and Director.
Work in partnership with the Regional team to ensure an effective two way flow of information and sharing of resources.
Work with the wider Comms team (Studios, Parks & Resorts etc.) and Social Media teams to share contacts (where applicable), ideas and resources, and events are maximised from both a digital and social perspective.
Graduate level education preferred with significant relevant industry and professional experience.
Ability to run a campaign from end to end (plan, develop & deliver) and to understand the impact the campaign will have on the business.
A proven track record of team management including coaching, mentoring and motivating.
Commercial awareness and budget management skills as well as good understanding of the Disney brand.
A high level of understanding of the legal framework as it applies to the sector.
