Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is one of the oldest and best-known animal welfare organisations in the world.
We currently operate from three centres – in Battersea, Old Windsor in Berkshire, and Brands Hatch in Kent and last year our 430 staff and 1,000 volunteers cared for over 7,000 dogs and cats.
Battersea is currently the 14th best known charity brand in the UK and our Communications department have led the way in achieving this ranking by devising and executing award-winning campaigns.
Our internal communications strategy is focused on creating an informed, engaged, and connected workforce, where internal communications support, encourage and empower staff and volunteers to work together, understanding what others do and sharing best practice, to help deliver the Home’s strategic aims.
The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for delivering this strategy. This is a new, exciting, and varied role within a busy Communications team, that represents an opportunity to have a transformative impact on staff culture.
Main purpose of the role
Reporting to the Head of Media & PR, the Internal Communications Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing the internal communications strategy, enabling effective two-way communication across the Home.
