Leonard Cheshire Disability is the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of services for disabled people. Our services include high-quality care and community support together with innovative projects supporting disabled people into education, employment and entrepreneurship. Worldwide, our global alliance of Cheshire partners supports disabled people into education and employment, and works in more than 50 countries.
Disability issues are topical and newsworthy. As the UK’s largest charity working in disability, this is a unique opportunity to make your mark through leading our marketing, communications and public affairs teams to achieve both lasting legislative change and attitudinal and societal change on issues that matter to disabled people. You will provide inspirational leadership and contribute to our strategy ensuring that our values are reflected in all we do.
The ideal candidate will bring their exceptional track record of delivering large scale profile growth through developing and delivering an integrated communications strategy and be able to demonstrate their outstanding leadership in a large and complex organisation.
Leonard Cheshire has launched a new strategy which aims to encourage the journey toward independence through a range of services. In terms of marketing and communications, our aim is to become the global ‘go to’ organisation for pan disability expertise and, through developing a compelling, modern brand, bring our philosophy to life and become a top 25 brand within the charities index.
