Islington is a great place to live and work but it’s also a place with a stark gap between the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’. We’re determined to create a fairer Islington, where everyone has the chance to reach their potential and enjoy a good quality of life.
We’re looking for an exceptional internal communications specialist to help inspire and engage our 6,000 strong workforce with our vision of a ‘fairer Islington’ and to support senior managers in delivering an ambitious change programme. You will also have a key role in helping us bring to life our new values – ‘collaborative, empowering and efficient’ – which signal a new way of working for the organisation.
With creativity, first-class writing skills and experience across the full range of comms channels and tactics, we need someone who can play both a strategic and operational role and is as comfortable presenting their ideas to senior managers and managing emergency communications as they are with running council-wide events.
If you are well-organised, thrive in a busy and varied environment and are passionate about good internal communications and engagement, this role will suit you down to the ground.
You’ll also have the benefit of our lively, skilled and supportive team to work alongside and develop your skills.
