Communications Officer, SES Water
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Job type: Full Time. Up to 12 Months Maternity Cover
Salary: Circa £30,000 + Benefits

SES Water supplies water to 685,000 people in the London Boroughs of Sutton, Merton, and Croydon, as well as across East Surrey and parts of Kent.

As one of our Communications Officers, you will form part of our portfolio structure where individuals create and implement communication strategies for their given areas of work such as water quality, water resources or network resilience.
Leading on the development, management and delivery of internal and external communications, you will develop key messages and targeted communications to engage audiences and produce high-quality content for a range of print and digital channels. Covering the breadth of internal, external and digital communication, you will help maintain and improve existing methods and develop new channels.
Success in this role is dependent upon producing high quality, accurate and timely content.
We’d like you to have experience of working in an office-based communications or PR environment, either in-house or agency. Good knowledge of the functions of a corporate communications team is essential and you will have demonstrable interest in digital communication trends and communications best practice.
Further to this, you’ll be experienced in producing integrated communications across various disciplines – internal, media relations, campaigns, stakeholder, digital, events etc.
You’ll have a proven record delivering results with limited supervision to tight deadlines, the ability in dealing with communications challenges as they arise and prioritisation skills, enabling you to manage a busy and varied workload.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required. You may also need to participate in the out-of-hours communications rota with the opportunity to earn additional payments and overtime.
