How to save money investing in your career

How can you retain a united, committed workforce while also improving business results?

There’s no magic formula, but I’ve got news today of your opportunity to hear from fellow comms pros who will be sharing their stories on what has worked and lessons they’ve learned. Plus I’ve got an exclusive discount for readers of my blog to save money on the event’s ticket price. This is your chance to invest in your career and save money too.

PR360

The inaugural four-day PR360 #PR360 event is set to be the annual gathering of PR and comms professionals from across the globe, whether your focus is more on social and digital, reputation, corporate or internal communication.

It’s happening in London in April and is hosted by PR Week @PRWeekEvents. I’ve partnered with them which means you as lovely All Things IC blog readers get to benefit from a special ticket rate.

I know many of the comms pros who read this blog are based around the globe, so what if you’re not able to get to London? Well I’ve spotted you can buy the speaker’s presentations, subject to speaker disclosure, for £199 (no VAT) after the event (please note my discount code can’t be used for this). It’s not the same as being in the room, but you’ll get to see what was covered.

What’s happening?
Social Media and PR Workshops (27 April) start the week, followed by a two-day revelation PR Summit (28-29 April), then an Internal Communications Focus Day (30 April). The week also features PR Week’s Global Awards ceremony (28 April).

What can you expect from the events?
It’s your chance to take your skills and strategy to the next level, interact with your peers from all over the world, and celebrate PR evolution across borders. Whether you attend one or all of the days, they’re packed full of inspiring speakers and case studies.

Focusing on all things internal communication

The second annual Internal Communications Focus Day is on 30 April 2015 and promises to provide you with “strategic advice and actionable tools to benchmark and develop your internal communications strategy and ensure you retain a united, committed, high-performing and focused workforce.” Sounds good to me!

It looks set to dig deep into the hottest issues facing IC pro at the moment. I like the format – it’s only open to 80 delegates to make sure you get the maximum opportunity for networking and discussion and your questions aren’t left unanswered.

The agenda includes keynote speeches and best-practice case studies on:

  • Leadership capability to develop trust and authenticity
  • Communicating effectively your organisation’s values and mission
  • Driving innovation in video, CSR, and change communications
  • Building an open culture and collaboration within the organisation
  • Online and offline channels strategy to ensure consistent messaging

Speakers include:

  • Liane Pannell, Head of Internal Communications, NSPCC,
  • Julia Hart, Director of Global Communications, Akzo Nobel
  • Jenny Varley, Managing Editor- News, Communications, HSBC
  • Bridget Jackson, Director of Corporate Sustainability, PwC
  • Hari Miller, Head of Internal Communications, TSB

How to save money off your PR360 ticket

PR360_To claim 10% discount off your ticket price, enter the unique code 10ATIC2063.

This needs to be quoted exactly in the basket page during registration.

Tickets start from £399 +VAT for an in-house comms pro to attend the IC Focus Day, and £499 +VAT for Agency.

Gold passes to attend 27-30 April are also available. See the pricing page of the PR360 website for everything you need to know and to book your tickets.

If you book more than one day, tickets can be shared within a team. I like this idea because it means one team member can attend one day, and another attend another day, as it’s always tricky trying to balance time out of the office.
