Tonight is the first ever National UK Blog Awards and I’m delighted to be a finalist in the PR, Marketing, Media & Comms individual blog category.
Thank you to everyone who voted for All Things IC back in December, which put my blog through to be judged by Rick Guttridge from Smoking Gun PR @SmokingGunPR and Cameron Clarke @camclarke from The DRUM @TheDrum.
They are the only blog awards recognising a multitude of industry professional talent across the UK and provide a unique opportunity for individual professionals from their sector and organisations to be recognised for their social media achievements through blogging, with the chance to network and be inspired by other industry bloggers.
The #ukba14 awards evening, which has been described as the “Oscars of the blogging world” is taking place in London.
I’ve never been in a room full of bloggers before, so am looking forward to meeting fellow writers and discovering new people and hearing about their websites.
My thanks to the lovely people at Phase Eight who kindly sent me a dress to wear, and best of luck to all the other finalists.
I’ve collated a Twitter list of finalists in all the categories which cover a wide range of topics including food & drink, lifestyle, arts & culture, retail & fashion, education and travel.
The top 10 organisations and top 10 individual finalist blogs in each of the 14 categories will be recognised.
