What’s on this week for comms pros

This week I’ve been researching and plotting my brand new All Things IC Masterclasses. I can’t wait to share full details with you.

All Things IC MasterclassesI’m developing a series of one-day courses to help communicators achieve excellence.

I’ve attended countless courses over the years. Based on my experience and feedback from peers, I’m banning beige training rooms and training monologues.

Whether you’re brand new in role or have been a professional communicator for years, there will be something for everyone.

I’ve found a venue in London, have lined up some excellent trainers to join me, and been sourcing quality products for attendees.

I’ll be releasing the dates, topics and registration details soon. However, if you would like to express your interest in the first course – an introduction to internal communication – do get in touch.

I’m also plotting a launch event as a great excuse to bring communicators together for a networking evening to learn more about the Masterclasses.

Tweepathon

Sport ReliefToday, Sunday 20 March, a special event is happening on and offline to raise money for Sport Relief.

#Tweepathon is the brainchild of Simon Heath @SimonHeath1, and so far £1200 has been raised.

A total of 26 volunteers are running a tag marathon in 15 minute stages starting at 7am and finishing at approximately 1.30pm.

From Bushy Park to the south-west of London to Reigate in Surrey via Rome and Romania. Sport Relief is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events. It brings the nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives.

The money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and abroad. You can read about Tweetpathon via Simon’s blog.

Best of luck to everyone taking part, I think this is an excellent idea and showcases the power of collective good.
