Are you looking to introduce video into your 2014 internal comms plans or thinking about refreshing what you’re doing next year?
Today I heard about two free events happening over the next few weeks for senior internal communications professionals to attend and thought I’d share them with you as they are something a bit different.
ITN Productions is holding workshops inspired by ITV’s ‘The Agenda’ TV programme (which is produced by ITN) on the set of the show.
If you’ve never come across the programme before, it’s the first panel show of its kind and is described on its website as “Featuring top politicians sitting alongside celebrities, it opens up politics to audiences in new ways. Previous guests include UK Prime Minister David Cameron, Mayor of London Boris Johnson and pop sensation Jamelia.”
I had a chat with Lorraine Hambleton who is involved in hosting the events, she told me: “I think these are the first type of IC television workshops of this kind, so it’s exciting and a great opportunity for people to get involved. We are inviting senior communications professionals to the set of The Agenda for a workshop on how this format could be used for internal communications. The session will be followed by a viewing of The Agenda being filmed.
“This is an exclusive invite for senior internal communications professionals and their teams, looking to shake up their video agenda in 2014.”
When are they?
The free workshops are taking place at The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, London.
Choose from Monday 25 November 2pm to 4pm plus 5- 6pm The Agenda viewing, (RSVP by Tuesday 19 November), or Monday 2 December 3pm to 5pm, plus 6-7pm The Agenda viewing, (RSVP by Friday 22 November).
What can you expect?
- practical workshop on producing a topical chat show to handle multiple messages, people, stories and opinion
- chance to produce and record an ‘IC version’ of the Agenda using current IC topics and challenges
- watch the live studio filming of The Agenda
- networking drinks
To book, please complete this form.
If you have any questions, contact productions@itn.co.uk or find them on Twitter @ITNProductions.
I’d love to know how the workshops go, so if you attend and would like to share your experience back with my readers in the form of a guest article please do let me know.
