All Things IC Live was a whole day for in-house internal communicators to learn about all things internal communication related.
It took place on 17 May 2023 and was attended by 85 IC professionals.
Our popular Masterclasses and Masterminds are usually restricted to only eight IC professionals at a time.
We super-sized the format and created All Things IC Live as part of our 10th birthday celebrations.
Our agenda included Team Teal Talks from Caroline Cubbon-King on stakeholders and Dan Holden on measurement. I spoke about internal communication strategy.
We also hosted two Table Talks (Masterminds), so IC pros could learn with and from each other.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day or sent their colleagues,
Rachel Miller, Founder, All Things IC.
What's it like to attend All Things IC Live?
“All Things IC Live is the event that we have been missing in the internal comms industry. I’m delighted that Rachel and her team developed and delivered something for internal comms professionals to connect, learn and be inspired in a meaningful and engaging way. I truly hope this event becomes a regular on the calendar – you won’t be able to keep me away!” Suzanne Dellmann, Head of Colleague Engagement, Corporate Brand Communications, The LEGO Group.
“I was very excited to attend the first All Things IC Live, any event involving Rachel Miller is going to be worth the price of a ticket. The format of Masterclass and Mastermind sessions was brilliant, with over 720 years of IC experience in the room all the answers were there to be shared. I came away buzzing with ideas, knowledge and just the opportunity to spend time with my tribe was priceless” Helen Alexander, General Dental Council.
“The best learning often comes from your peers, and with the internal comms industry now beginning to come into its own, All Things IC Live provided the perfect opportunity to pick the brains of IC pros from a broad spectrum of industries, and get great tips from the knowledgeable All Things IC team. Brilliant use of my time, even when work is super busy!” Sara Kent, Chiltern Railways.
Tickets were £229 +VAT per person. The first batch sold out in four days. The second batch were released on 1 March on a first come first served basis and sold out too.
We worked hard to make the ticket price as low as possible and contacted under-represented communities of Comms and PR practitioners with discounted tickets.
We recognise our Comms friends all learn in different ways, so there was a recharge room available. This is a quiet place where you can reflect and recharge yourself and your mobile.
Attendees didn’t need to prepare anything in advance, just be willing to talk in a small group on a table about Comms conundrums or topics they wanted to ask for help with. See this article to learn more about Masterminds.
Everyone had the chance to sit in the hot seat.
