Regular readers of my blog will know that I’ve stopped recording Internal Comms TV weekly, but I decided to record a short end of year Christmas message to give you a taster of what I’m up to and what you can expect from my blog in 2014.
The second episode of my FIR presents All Things IC with Rachel Miller podcast is going live on 24 December and features an interview I’ve recorded with Stephen Waddington, @wadds, President-Elect of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and much more.
You can subscribe to the show directly on iTunes here.
Countdown to Christmas
Throughout December I’ve been publishing a story a day by internal communicators as an Advent calendar. I’ve saved my favourite one until last – you will be able to read it on 23 December, with my podcast being the final article on Christmas Eve before I take a break until January.
Thank you to everyone who has read, commented and shared my blog this year. I’m looking forward to hearing from you in 2014 and highlighting more stories and news about all things internal communication.
2013 has been a busy old one for me, not least with the launch of my internal comms consultancy in May. I’m thoroughly enjoying working alongside my clients and have had the pleasure of meeting some outstanding communicators, many who I have interacted with online for years.
I’ve spoken at numerous comms events this year on employee engagement, internal comms and social media, both here in the UK and in Rome.
One of my highlights has to be #thebigyak unconference I co-hosted with my fellow The IC Crowd @theICcrowd founders Dana Leeson and Jenni Wheller in June. Bringing together 130 internal communicators on a Saturday at eBay’s offices for a free day of learning and networking was hard work to plan alongside our day jobs, but immense fun. The yak will be back in 2014 and we’ll share more information then.
Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year
Rachel
