What’s the best career advice you’ve been given or read? What’s your top tip to make sure internal comms is inclusive?
These are just two of the questions in my brand new A Question of Comms series. Regular readers of my blog may remember I first ran this series back in 2017.
Conversations this week, particularly with Black PR and Comms practitioners in my network, made me realise I can use this platform to amplify voices in our industry. So I’m delighted to bring A Question of Comms back to the All Things IC blog and encourage you to take part.
Due to lockdown here in the UK, I’m not able to access the gorgeous teal velvet sofa and chairs in my All Things IC Hub, but we can enjoy them virtually as they’ll play host to our conversation.
Why take part?
If you are hunting for a new job and want to raise your profile, have never felt able to contribute to anything before, or simply fancy answering the questions, you’re in the right place. Whether you’re brand new to the wonderful world of Internal Comms or been working in the field for years, you’re welcome to contribute.
You can’t get it wrong, I’m interested in hearing your views and there’s no judgement.
How to take part
All you need to do is submit your answers via this link or below and I’ll do the rest.

What if I’ve been featured before?
If you have already been in my hot seat, you’re welcome to come back and answer the questions as there’s a set of new ones.
I can’t wait to see what you write, I’ll be featuring your voices regularly and hope to see you in person at the All Things IC Hub once it’s safe to do so again.

Looking for other ways to have your voice heard? Thank you to everyone who has tuned in to Spin The Wheel with Chuck Gose and I every Wednesday thanks to our friends at SocialChorus. We broadcast live on LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter at 8pm UK time, 3pm EST. Sign up to join us or watch the replays.
You’re welcome to watch live and submit your comments, questions and topic suggestions while we’re on air. We add the topics to the wheel and debate them the following week. This week we were joined by special guest, writer and journalist Katrina Marshall, @kat_isha, you can watch our conversation below.
This is the stunning article she wrote, that we referenced in the show: #BlackoutTuesday: What’s YOUR story?
Have a lovely weekend
