Save 20% off CIPR Inside conference tickets

Do you know where the gaps are in internal communication? Not just inside your organisation, but in your own knowledge?

CIPR Inside LogoThis year’s internal communication conference from CIPR Inside aims to Close the Gap.

All Things IC blog readers can save 20 per cent off tickets with my code allthingsIC16, which will hopefully help close any budget gaps you may have…

Let’s look at what’s on offer.

On Tuesday 4 October CIPR Inside, the specialist group of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, is returning to 8 Northumberland Avenue, London, for its annual event.

The day-long conference runs from 8.30am-5pm. (Breakfast is from 8.30am and the conference starts at 10am).

I spoke at it last year and rate the conference as one of the highlights of my year. It’s always well-designed and leaves me revived and full of fresh ideas.

Why ‘Close the Gap?’
Steven Murgatroyd, (pictured) CIPR Inside Chair says: “We are working with award-winning professionals Steven Murgatroydand others delivering outstanding work to bring our members and the IC community a great day packed full of practical case studies, advice and tips to take back to the office and help us all to be better at recognising and bridging the gaps in our organisations.

“Closing the gap is something we are continually trying to achieve as internal communicators, between employees and the business, internal and external communication, between departments and in our own internal business partnerships to name a few.

Communication does not happen in a vacuum.

CIPR Inside “Leaders can no longer expect their internal communication to stay inside the business, or external activities not to affect employee engagement. What we say and do must be aligned for both our colleagues and customers to trust our businesses.

“Internal communication and employee engagement professionals are perfectly placed to help connect people inside organisations and bridge the gaps between internal and external communication, corporate and human needs and what we say and what we do as organisations.”

Speakers include:

  • Fieldwork with Abel & Cole: Fieldwork has helped Abel & Cole truly understand its employees at a deeply human level with a fresh approach to employee research
  • AXA: connecting people and truly valuing their input with powerful events that engage and inspire
  • Nationwide: bringing award-winning employees together, connecting them with each other, no matter where they work or how big or small their team
  • PR Academy: Kevin Ruck will share insights from his latest ESN research on the bridging the divide between collaboration and communication in ESNs
  • Social for the people, Helen Reynolds will discuss the gaps both closed and created with Social media.

CIPR Inside will announce more info over the next few months. Keep an eye on @CIPRInside on Twitter or their website.

There are various discounted ticket rates available for CIPR members and IC diploma and certificate students. My code is for other non-CIPR members.

Don’t forget to use my code: allthingsIC16 to save 20 per cent.
