How to learn about employer branding

Would you like to learn about employer brand management?

Today I’ve got an offer for readers of the All Things IC blog to save you 15% off the upcoming Employer Brand Management conference in London.

A few years back I predicted we would be surrounded by conversations about employer brand in future years. It feels like that time has now come.

The term is used to describe an organisation’s reputation as an employer, rather than the general brand reputation. See my glossary for more info.

The word branding always jars with me slightly – as it implies stamping employees with your identity (literally to brand them) – but at the core of lots of the examples I’ve seen is employee wellbeing and engagement.

The annual conference from Transform Magazine offers exclusive insights from those doing it right. Their Employer Brand Management Awards are worth exploring if you are focusing on this topic.

I’ve just had a look at their website and there are just 40 days left until their early bird offer closes for entries. See their website for full info.

Are you focusing on your employer brand? If so and you have a story to share, do please read my guidelines and get in touch with your idea.

The rise of employer brand on the conference circuit and agendas is evident and the need for companies to develop and nurture an attractive employer brand is becoming more important to their bottom line.

Hearing from the experts
This year’s Employer Brand Management conference on 12 December includes experts from GE, NHS Employers and Siemens speaking on some of the most relevant issues of the moment.

Topics include Gen Z vs Millennials, narrative and storytelling and Brexit.

Future Makers
I’m looking forward to the talk from Siemens. The agenda promises: “VR head sets and popcorn will be provided for the delegates as they sit back and enjoy this session, delivered in surround vision.

Since the global activation of Siemens’ Future Makers campaign, Siemens has been using its 360° app to allow prospective employees to step inside employee’s stories to experience their lives and the work they do.”

Rachel Wilson, Head of Talent Acquisition at Siemens will explore the internal and external, global and local alignment processes required for the development of stories at the core of Future Makers.

Save on your tickets
