A fixture in the heart of London’s Piccadilly since 1707 – and renowned around the world as the home of joy-giving things and extraordinary experiences ever since – Fortnum & Mason is looking for a new Copy & Content Manager to help tell customers, both in our stores and online, the many varied stories of Fortnum’s with wit, charm and integrity.
A first-rate writer and editor, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining content on the dedicated editorial section of fortnumandmason.com, The Journal.
You’ll lead on email copy, in-store POS copy, and product and packaging copy too. With a busy schedule to deal with, you’ll be comfortable with delivering to tight deadlines and have a strong ability to multi-task. More generally, you’ll be the guardian of the Fortnum’s Tone of Voice – so whenever Fortnum’s is speaking to our customers, you’ll be the one keeping our comms on-message, and on brand.
Our Copy & Content Manager will work closely with many departments across the business, but closely with our Digital Marketing Manager in order to optimise content according to SEO requirements. In addition, our candidate will also work closely with the social media team to ensure content is distributed across appropriate channels to increase web traffic.
We’re not just looking for someone with demonstrated experience in generating new ideas in order to draw attention, but just how to maximise this attention. You’ll be attuned to the commercial aspects of the business, but always customer-focused, and passionate about telling stories our customers will enjoy. A strong understanding of brand management, customer experience and customer engagement would be a big plus.
