Band 8a, permanent.
Salary: £45,753 to £51,668 pa
Closing date: 3 July 2020
Interview date: 10 July 2020.
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, we became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 320,000 people. We have a CQC rating as good overall and we have some key areas of outstanding practice with an outstanding rating for being well led at every level.
Buildings, names and models of care have changed over the centuries, but one thing has remained constant and is prevalent among our 5,900+ staff members: the enduring commitment to providing the best health and care for the people of Bolton.
There’s never been a more exciting time to join an NHS communication and engagement team as we continue to respond to the changing world resulting from Covid-19. Providing patients and communities with the information they need to stay safe; involving stakeholders in discussions about future services and keeping colleagues informed and up-to-date is now even more important.
Our team is small but enthusiastic; passionate about helping to deliver the very best of patient care and dedicated to achieving vision and ambitions. In this exciting role you’ll play a leading part in supporting this through all aspects of the communications mix; designing campaigns to change behaviours, leading internal communications that foster buy-in and advocacy, and managing our reputation.
You’ll bring creative thinking, leadership experience and stakeholder skills and in turn we’ll offer an interesting and fast-paced role where no two days are the same, where you can shape thinking and innovation.
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated provider of acute, intermediate and community health care serving the population of Bolton. The CQC has rated us as Good with Outstanding leadership. We have good clinical performance and sound operations that are rooted in patient safety and a highly engaged workforce whose dedication to patient care creates a warm and welcoming working environment.
As this position may close earlier than the stated closing date if a sufficient number of applications are received, you are advised to submit your application as soon as possible.
