Head of Insight and Innovation, Which?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Insight and Innovation to lead our Insight & Innovation team for the next year.
Which? is the largest independent consumer organisation in the UK. We provide comprehensive reviews of products and services, from best buy dishwashers to whole of market mortgage advice. Our campaigning efforts have also been behind some of the biggest positive changes for consumer’s lives in recent years. Understanding our customers is key to our continued success, recognising opportunities for growth and driving business initiatives forward.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting directly to the Group Marketing Director, you’ll work closely with the Managing Directors across the organisation to drive actions and solutions across our products and services – from our core print and digital publications, to our newer commercial ventures including Which? Mortgage Advisors and Which? Legal Services.
You’ll commission high profile, business critical market research to ensure that we continue to put the consumer at the heart of the organisation and our business decisions, and ensure effective and timely delivery of our ongoing brand and customer tracking surveys.
We’re going to be working on some exciting projects over the next 12 months – including delivering a new segmentation for the organisation, looking at key moments in consumers’ lives and corresponding development opportunities. You’ll oversee the testing and validation of new products and services, and create robust product development plans.
The role offers fantastic variety and opportunity to continuously learn, while you engage widely with stakeholders across the business. You’ll lead, develop and inspire the Insight and Innovation team of four, encouraging them to fulfil their potential.
What we’re looking for
High commercial awareness, used to working with large brands
Proven experience of strategic and analytical planning and management of an insight function
Proven stakeholder management and ability to build effective working relationships with a wide number of stakeholders
Excellent communications skills and ability to present at a senior level
Excellent leadership skills and the ability to coach, motivate and develop individuals
A strong background in quantitative and qualitative consumer market research, with experience in customer experience and satisfaction.
Importantly, this role will suit someone with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering insight that drives growth, helping to ensure that the consumer perspective is at the heart of development of products and services at Which?.
