If you’re looking for ways to strengthen your influence inside your organisation or use social media for engagement, you’re in luck.

PR Week 360 These are just two of the topics being covered at PR Week’s Internal Communications Focus Day on 29 April.

Their early bird rate expires tomorrow, and readers of the All Things IC blog can save 10 per cent using my code: AIIC10. So this is your chance to focus on internal communication and save money too. Result!

Speakers include Gordon Dowall-Potter, Head of Internal Communication for Kier Group, Viktoria Tegard, Head of Change Communications at Virgin Atlantic Airways and Nathan Wallis, Head of Internal Communications at Amey.

All Things IC Masterclasses

All Things IC MasterclassesPlans are in progress for my brand new training courses – All Things IC Masterclasses. Thank you to everyone who has expressed an interest in them so far. I’m busy plotting and writing, and am looking forward to sharing more information with you soon.

Thank you to all the comms pros who have been helping with my research. It’s important to me the courses are tailored to meet the requirements of the comms community.

I’m grateful for your generosity, time and care to help me translate what’s in my head into reality. If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well as they say.

I’m incredibly excited by the Masterclasses and the reactions to them so far. The first course will be an introduction to internal communication and be held in London in June.

I already have a list of people interested, which is fantastic. Want to attend? You can add your name here to be kept updated.

Happy Easter

HappyI hope you have a good Easter if you are celebrating. My brother is a Vicar, so this is always one of his busiest times of the year.

My three-year-old daughter is well-versed in chocolate eggs and their true meaning. My 14-month-old twins are rather excited about the foil-wrapped goodies they’ve spied being brought into our house over the past few days.

The boys are obviously too young to know the meaning, but isn’t it funny how the language of chocolate communicates even through wrappers?!

I hope you have a great Easter,

Rachel

P.s. If you’re looking for a new job over the break, don’t forget to see the All Things IC jobs page.
