The state of the digital world – a look at socialnomics

More people in the world own a mobile device than a toothbrush, 1 in 5 divorces involve social media and every day 20% of the terms typed into Google have never been searched for before.

EqualmanThese stats all feature in Socialnomics 2014 by Erik Qualman @equalman (pictured). He’s just released the fifth version of the most watched video series on social media and I thought I’d share it with you.

Qualman is a #1 best selling author and keynote speaker on digital leadership and the video was produced by Equalman Studios.

Source data for the statistics in the video is available in the book Socialnomics: How Social Media Transforms the Way We Live and Do Business, or see the website socialnomics.com.

A final stat that caught my eye – the average person has :07 sec attention span. A goldfish has :08 sec.

I’m sure this video will hold your attention, enjoy!

Rachel
