Last night the first ever National UK Blog Awards – aka the Oscars of the blogging world – were held in London and I’m delighted to reveal All Things IC scooped a gong.
Thank you to everyone who voted back in December, which put my blog through to be judged by Cameron Clarke @camclarke from The DRUM @TheDrum and Rick Guttridge from Smoking Gun PR @SmokingGunPR.
I discovered I was named as a finalist and invited to the glittering awards event. It was held at the five-star Grange hotel, in the shadow of the stunning St Paul’s Cathedral in London.
The National UK Blog Awards are the only awards recognising a multitude of industry professional talent across the UK.
They provided a unique opportunity for individual professionals from their sector and organisations to be recognised for their social media achievements through blogging, with the chance to network and be inspired by other industry bloggers.
I spoke with finalists from Food & Drink, Education, Fashion, Lifestyle and Weddings blogs and enjoyed our conversations and the evening.
I was honoured to discover that All Things IC was Highly Commended in the PR, Marketing, Media & Comms individual blog category.
Congratulations to the winner, Greg Dillon of Strat-Talking, and Globe Drifting who was the other Highly Commended in our category.
It was great to meet other bloggers and see their hard work recognised. I had great fun with the digital graffiti wall that was on display, and left my mark while I was there (see pic).
Well done all and my thanks to Phase Eight for kindly sending me a dress to wear.
