What’s on this week for comms pros

Happy Mother’s Day if you’re celebrating or remembering loved ones today. I was woken by my three-year-old poking a card in my eye at 2.45am as she was excited.

influenceSo I’m typing this slightly blurry eyed while chaperoning her piano lesson, as I do every Sunday while writing this article. Here’s your look at what’s coming up for comms pros. It covers 6 to 16 March 2016.

This week I’ve launched a joint survey in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) for the next edition of Influence magazine.

We’re looking in to the current state of affairs in the internal comms function by surveying professionals on a range of subject from planning and strategy to skills gaps.

The results will feature in a double page spread of the Spring edition of the magazine and I’ll be sharing my views on the findings.

I’d love to know your views. So, if you work in internal comms, make yourself a cuppa and please take five minutes to complete our survey and take part in the next edition of Influence.

This week I attended the first Future Practitioner Panel at CIPR. It was good to talk through our plans for the future and to meet the rest of the panel face-to-face. I’ll keep you posted with our progress.
