What’s on this week for comms pros

How can you humanise internal communication? This is the topic being examined by professional communicators at the annual Institute of Internal Communication conference this week.

IoICHumanising internal communication: it’s a people thing is happening from 5 to 6 May in Birmingham, UK. It’s a packed agenda and looks like an interesting mix of speakers and topics.

You can follow conversations via #ioiclive16 on Twitter or @IoICNews. I’m looking forward to going and will share what I hear via @AllThingsIC.

Sign up for an All Things IC Masterclass

Masterclasses_websiteI’m delighted to say the brand new All Things IC Masterclasses website is now live.

An All Things IC Masterclass enables you to invest in your career, improve your knowledge and meet other communicators.

The one-day courses have been created based on feedback from communication professionals to help you achieve excellence through face-to-face learning. You’ll leave equipped with ideas, information and inspiration.

Masterclasses combine theory with practice and operate at three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

Beginner: Less than two years’ experience in an internal communication role. Intermediate: 2-5 years experience and Advanced: 5+ years experience.

Masterclasses have a maximum of 10 people, so book early to save your space. See the course outlines to discover what’s on and choose the one that’s right for you.

The first one is an Introduction to Internal Communication (Beginner level). It’s on 2 June at the excellent Wallacespace in Covent Garden, London, and there is a Writing Masterclass (Beginner level) facilitated by Helen Deverell @helendeverell on 14 July.

See the Masterclasses website for full information including how to book.
